At some point during the twentieth century Ken McCuen learned to draw and paint.
After honing his abilities through the rendering of ninjas, pinecones, robots, and spaceships he packed up his pencils, one large sketchbook, and left town. He received his BAA from Sheridan’s Illustration Program and twice attended the Illustration Master Class.
Ken specializes in portraits and fantasy – haunting, dreamlike scenes with a dose of humour thrown in. He has worked on a range of projects from theatre posters to feature films, from book illustration to concept art.
He has contributed work to such clients as Desire2Learn, Girl Guides Canada, Kitchener Waterloo Youth Theatre, Toronto Dance Salsa, Kodak Canada, and Labbatt. Ken also has several movie credits from his art work on feature films.
